Founded by Thomas Bates and Jason Carter (grandson of Jimmy Carter), the mission of Democrats Work is to mobilize grassroots Democrats to perform community service projects, involving local Democratic candidates and incumbents whenever possible. Here in Washington, Darcy Burner helped with a park clean-up project in Auburn; First Mike and Michelle Gregoire helped out with some landscaping work at Dearborn Elementary in Seattle along with State Rep. Eric Pettigrew.
